The Denver Zoo is located in City Park of Denver, Colorado. Today the 80-acre facility is the most popular attraction in Colorado, welcoming over 1.7 million animal lovers a year. More than 4,000 creatures roam the grounds, including representatives of 144 endangered species. This latter fact is a reflection of the zoo's long-term mission to focus on conservation and environmental education.
