Denver's Downtown Aquarium, formerly Colorado's Ocean Journey, is the only 1.25 million-gallon aquarium between Chicago and the West Coast. It has four sections that show water and aquatic life in all its forms, from the seas to the river's headwaters in the Colorado mountains. The aquarium, which also has a lounge with a weeknight happy hour, has extended hours every night.
