The Dobrovo Castle in Brda is located next to the road connecting the settlements of Dobrovo and Medana. It was constructed around 1600 at the site of an older medieval castle. The Colloredo Counts were the first owners, followed at the end of the 18th century by the de Catterini-Erzberg family from Gorica, and in 1872 the Baguer family inherited the property. In 1974 the castle was taken over by the Goriška Museum, Nova Gorica and in 1991 the Zoran Mušič Gallery was arranged and later renovated.
