Fish Creek Provincial Park is located in the southern part of Calgary. It is known as one of the largest urban parks in North America and contains wetlands, mixed forest and open prairie. This ecologically diverse area also contains more than eighty archaeological sites found by the University of Calgary "archaeological team" dating from approximately 8,000 years ago to historic times.
