As the site where the Lewis and Clark Expedition wintered during the period of late 1805 to early 1806, this memorial features a reconstructed fort, a visitor center and museum, a variety of historical exhibits, a canoe landing, and picnic areas. Living history demonstrations depicting fort activities are presented during the summer months.
