| Fort Henry occupies one of the most prominent geographical features in Ontario, Canada and offers a breath-taking view of Lake Ontario, the 1000 Islands, Royal Military College and the City of Kingston. Military defenses occupied the point from the early nineteenth century. The current limestone fortification, known as the "Citadel of Upper Canada" was built between 1832 and 1848. |
