Founded in 1909, the Fort Worth Zoo is the oldest continuous zoo site in Texas. The collections include more than 350 native and exotic species. Highlighting the zoo's wide range of exhibits are the Asian Falls: elephants, rhinos and rare giraffes in an African savannah setting. Other animals include cheetahs, raptors, komodo dragons and koala bears. The Texas Wild! exhibit is popular for its comprehensive look at species from all over the state.
