First of all The Historic New Orleans Collection is a museum housed in a complex of historic French Quarter buildings at 533 Royal Street. There are both permanent and changing exhibitions illustrating the history of the New Orleans and Louisiana, the Williams Residence house museum, and a museum shop. Associated with the Historic New Orleans Collection is the Williams Research Center, composed of curatorial, manuscripts, and library collections, is housed in a restored police and court building at 410 Chartres Street.
