| Encompassing nearly half of Inagua`s area, this 287-square-mile park dominates the western portion of the island. Anyone with even the slightest interest in nature will appreciate the incredible landscapes and swarms of wildlife. The sanctuary`s claim to fame is the inordinate number of flamingos that make their homes here. Bird-lovers flock to the park during the flamingo mating season, October through February, when the birds flock to Lake Rosa, the largest inland lake in the Bahamas. |
