The castle is a huge complex of buildings and of three courtyards. You enter the castle through a Gothic gate followed by the first court that is mainly surrounded by outbuildings (17th-20th century). The first and the second courts are connected by a Renaissance wing from the third quarter of the 16th century. Originally the second court was a water moat and the third one a core of the castle. The oldest part of the castle is the Old Palace with its tower, so-called dungeon, dating back to the first half of the 13th century.
