| Katavi National Park was gazetted in 1974 and is located in Western Tanzania. It is remote park that is less frequently visited than other Tanzanian National Parks. Tanzania's third largest national park, it lies in the remote southwest of the country, within a truncated arm of the Rift Valley that terminates in the shallow, brooding expanse of Lake Rukwa. |
