| The Lion Garden is located in Suzhou City. It is famous for the numerous artificial hills made of pebbles in the garden. With man-made lakes, different kinds of flowers and trees in it, the Lion Garden is one of the most popular spots for tourists. Built in 1342 during the Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368) by Monk Tianru and a group of Zen Buddhist disciples as a memorial of their master-Monk Zhongfeng, Lion Grove Garden has changed hands and renamed a number of times. |
