The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion is located in Norwalk, Connecticut. Erected in 1864, this granite mansion in the Second Empire style is covered with peaked and mansard slate roofs and has 62 rooms arranged around a stunning sky-lit octagonal rotunda. Marble, gilt, marquetry, and frescoes were commissioned and incorporated with abandon.
