|
| Luray Caverns, 9 mile west of the city of Luray, Virginia are the largest caverns in the state, which has drawn many visitors since its discovery in 1878. The world's only "stalacpipe organ" is composed of stalactites that have been tuned to concert pitch and are tapped by rubber-tip plungers. The organ is played electronically for every tour and may be played manually on special occasions. |
