| While she wrote her masterpiece, the author of Gone With the Wind, Margaret Mitchell, lived in a turn-of-the-20th-century apartment house in Atlanta, she called "the Dump." Volunteers gathered the funds necessary to restore the building in the early 1990s. The visitor center exhibits photographs, archival material, and personal possessions. |
