Built in 1832, in New York City, the Merchant's redbrick House, combining federal and Greek Revival styles, provides a glimpse into the family life of that era. Retired merchant Seabury Tredwell and his descendants lived here from 1835 until it became a museum in 1933. The original furnishings and architectural features remain intact. Family memorabilia are also on display.
