| Minuteman Missile National Historic Site is located in southwestern South Dakota, near Badlands National Park and the town of Wall. Park interprets how the Minuteman missile played a strategic role in the country's defense during the Cold War. It features the Delta 1 launch control and Delta 9 launch facilities that are the sole remaining examples of the original Minuteman system, dating back to the Cuban Missile Crisis. Visitors can take a ranger-guided tour through the topside structure. |
