| Mount Kenya is an ancient extinct volcano that boasts rugged glacier-clad summits and forested middle slopes. It offers some of the best contrasting landscapes in the world and is the second highest mountain in Kenya that straddles the equator. Mount Kenya National Park offers many opportunities to view the variety of game in the region. Animals common to the region are elephant, monkey, baboon, bushbuck, buffalo, black rhino and forest hog. These are, of course, just a select few of the variety of wildlife that roam around in the forest belts. |
