Founded in 1992, the Musee d`Art Américain Giverny in France is dedicated to promoting the understanding of American art. The museum, which focuses particularly on transatlantic exchange, operates under the auspices of the Terra Foundation for American Art. Featuring a wide range of exhibitions, lectures, publications, and workshops, the museum is open from spring through fall every year. The Normandy village of Giverny has served since the nineteenth century as a site for international artistic dialogue.
