This museum is Ponce`s crowning glory and many people come to the city just to visit it. Puerto Rico`s former governor Luis A Ferre donated the museum, which boasts the most extensive collection of European and Latin art in the Caribbean. The collection spans 500 years, since the discovery of Puerto Rico, but the museum`s array is truly international. The pre-Raphaelite and baroque works are particularly noteworthy.
