| Nanjing Museum is located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China, on East Zhongshan Road, about 3km from the Xinjiekou traffic circle to the east, just inside Zhongshan Gate. It is one of the largest museums in China. It was originally established in 1933 and now numbers among its extensive collections some 2,000 first class treasures of national and cultural interest. The Museum applies modern scientific methods of conservation, and is active in displaying its holdings, having mounted some 236 exhibitions. |
