The Nevada State Museum was built in 1866 and was home to the U.S. Mint for over 20 years. Inside its walls you will experience a life-sized ghost town, walk through a silver mine and see the actual equipment used to stamp over 50 million dollars in gold and silver coins mined from the Comstock Lode. It is now rated one of the 10 best regional museums in the West.
