| Neys Provincial Park is located along the shores of Lake Superior just west of Marathon, Ontario, Canada. It offers incredible views of Lake Superior and the landscape of the Canadian Shield. The area was made famous by the Group of Seven painter, Lawren Harris, who painted "Pic Island". During WWII a Prisoner of War camp was established here to contain German inmates. Some remnants from that time period still remain. Neyes Provincial Park is a relatively small park with a very good information centre and easy walking trails along the shoreline. |
