Odessa Numismatics Museum is the first Ukrainian historical museum of new type whose tasks became studying the history of coinage and money circulation of the Ukrainian state and also preservation and demonstration the major historical relics belonging to ancient history and culture of the Northern Black Sea Region and Rus-Ukraine. The museum collection includes over 2,500 coins and other relics from different historical epochs: antique, medieval, to new and newest time including the period of independent development of the Ukrainian state.
