Outamba-Kilimi National Park

| Outamba-Kilimi National Park is located in northwest Sierra Leone near the border with the Republic of Guinea. There are camping facilities there as well as some primitive huts with double beds. The vegetation is a mixture of jungle and savannah. Wildlife includes primates such as chimpanzees, colobus monkeys and sooty mangabeys. There are also hippopotamuses, as well as pygmy hippos, elephants, wart hogs and rare bongo antelopes. Reported also are giraffes and lions, along with over a hundred species of birds. |
