The Pamplona Cathedral is a monumental religious building in Pamplona, Navarre, Spain. It was begun by Carlos el Noble in the year 1397 on the site of a 12th century Romanesque building and was finished in 1472. The main altar is presided over by the Virgen del Sagrario, which was the image opposite which the kings were sworn in. Today's building was built on the ruins of an earlier Romanesque temple, knocked down in the 14th century. This cathedral is divided into three Gothic style naves.
