| Parque Nacional del Este has been designated a protected area since September 16,1975. The total area of the Parque Nacional del Este is 41,894 Ha. One of the attractions of the Park of the East is the Carabela de Cristobal Columbus, retort of the well-known boat like Santa Maria or Nao. It was constructed in the city of Barcelona, Spain and was bought by the Venezuelan of Promotion and brought Corporation to the country in 1967. |
