Raven Rock State Park, near Lillington, North Carolina, is home to a massive 152-foot high rock outcrop, which juts out at a 45-degree angle over the Cape Fear River area. More than 12 miles of hiking trails let you wander through a variety of terrain. Scenic trails invite you to journey into the park's interior. Cape Fear Canoe Trail runs through the park. Fish in small clear streams that have cut beds through soil and rock in their age-old rush to join the river. Best spots for fishing in the Cape Fear River are the Fish Traps and the mouth of Campbell Creek.
