The permanent exhibitions of Roskilde Museum were completely renovated in 1997. The exhibitions primarily illustrate the history of the city from the 990s and up to the 1970s – ending with the themes of Roskilde University Center, Roskilde Festival and the Riso National Laboratory. The prehistoric times section shows the prehistory of Roskilde and the surrounding area.
