Built in 1902 by Raul Mésnier, the Santa Justa Elevator, inside a Gothic-style tower, is one of Lisbon's more extraordinary structures. After stepping outside the elevator compartment at the upper level, climb the staircase to the very top of the structure for views of the Baixa district and beyond.
