| The magnificent Sawtooth Mountains are the crown jewels of Idaho`s mountain ranges. The Sawtooth Wilderness, surrounded by the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, is also managed by the U. S. Forest Service. Hundreds of alpine lakes lie nestled between forty-two peaks over 10,000 feet in elevation. There are numerous trails into the wilderness area and outfitters are available in Stanley for guided trail rides and pack trips. |
