Featuring more than 100 thrilling rides, shows and attractions, including a number of exciting roller coasters. The park's newly expanded Hurricane Harbor water park is included with admission. Six Flags America, in Largo, Maryland, began as Wild World water park in 1982. The water park went bankrupt in 1990 and was sold to new owners. Under new ownership the name was changed to Adventure World and the focus changed to the amusement park. In 1999, the park was re-branded and renamed Six Flags America.
