| The remote mountain lake at an altitude of about 3000 m became a quite popular place for tourists, as it offers, due to its situation at a high plateau, surrounded by fertile pastures and peaks between 3300 and 4000m, an impressive and fascinating nature experience. Possible activities are of course hikes and horse-back riding, but especially liked are the demonstrations of how to build up a yurt (the traditional felt dwelling of Central Asian nomads) and in general the experience of the every-day life of todays Kyrgyz half-nomads and shepherds. |
