Sterling State Park is located near Monroe, in southeastern Michigan on Lake Erie's Brest Bay. The park boasts many lagoons and marshes providing good habitat for a variety of wildlife and bird life. The only state park on Lake Erie, Sterling State Park's 1,300 acres offers great recreational opportunities. Swimming, boating, fishing, lakefront camping and wildlife viewing have all been upgraded with the 2003 park reconstruction.
