Takht - i - Bahi

| Takht-i-Bahi is a site of historical importance in the Mardan District of the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan. It contains the remains of a famous Buddhist monastery and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Takht Bahi was a Buddhist place in ancient time. It was called Takht-i- Bhai because the Buddhist monastery was on the top of a mountain, and on the mountain there was a stream (Bhai). |
