This museum has, since 1972, occupied the vast rooms of the Villa Sauber, built in the last century by Charles Garnier. It houses one of the world's finest collections of automatons and dolls of the XVIIIth and XIXth centuries. This fabulous collection was built up, throughout her life, by Madeleine de Galéa. Her son made a gift of it to the Principality. A visit should also be made to the gardens, laid out in terraces, where grow some forty species of roses, some specially created for H.S.H. Princess Grace and H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie.
