| The Turks and Caicos National Museum was founded in 1991. It is a not for profit organisation with a remit to collect for the nation. It carries out extensive research on the history of the country and aids government, commercial and independant organisations in their research. The Museum contains artifacts covering all aspects of the prehistoric and colonial periods. There are exhibits from the first human settlers, the Taino/Lucayans, through to modern developments with galleries include the Lucayan Gallery, Mollasses Reef Shipwreck, The Space Race, Natural History and Social History Gallery. |
