Tyresta National Park is a national park with a surrounding nature reserve in Sweden, located in Haninge and Tyresö municipalities in Stockholm County. The national park was established in 1993 and has an area of 19.7 km², and the surrounding nature reserve 27 km², so the total protected area is about 47 km². In 1999, about 10% of the national park area was consumed in a large fire. Tyresta's foremost sights are the varied virgin forest, the 300-year-old giant firs, the gorge landscape with its ice-polished slopes and the lichen-covered stony ground.
