| Verdun is a city and commune in the Lorraine region, northeast France. Verdun was founded by the Gauls. Verdun was the site of the Battle of Verdun in 1916 during World War I. Verdun forts was sadly neglected and fell without a struggle in that war. The exhibits at the Verdun Memorial Museum evoke stark images of the battle. |
