The Vrbas is a major river in western Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a right tributary of the river Sava. The town of Banja Luka, the de facto capital of the Republika Srpska (Serb Republic), is located on the river banks. It lent its name to one of the provinces of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the Vrbas Banovina. Rafting on the Vrbas is an under appreciated local tourist attraction.
