Sofia airport
, 10km east of town, is connected to the centre by bus #84 (every 15-20min), which runs to Orlov Most; or the much more unpredictable minibus #30, which drops off outside the Tzum shopping mall. On leaving the international arrivals terminal, head to the right for about 100m to find the
bus stop
, where there's also a small kiosk selling tickets for the bus - if you're catching the minibus you must pay the driver direct. Both buses run between about 7am and 11pm.
Taxi
drivers tend to charge foreigners fresh off the plane a hefty US$20-30 for the ride into town. If you utter the odd word of Bulgarian or appear to know where you're going, you might get away with paying about half that.
By train
