As a matter of fact, there is no "Moldovan/Moldavian" language!!! A dialect of Romanian is spoken in the Republic of Moldova.

Denis.

Well, i will be honest and mention that i didn't even read 1/10th of your loooong article, as i would've probably found it repetitive and boring.

but, what I did find intersting was a book called : ''playing tennis with Moldavian football players'' - one of the few things I actually know about Moldova. Although I'm not particularly intersted in this part of the world, I will do some studying tonight and hopefully finish your story.

Anyway, I just wanted to mention the good book - it's really funny and a very good introduction in the world of bets, Eastern European chaos, funny people of those parts and Moldavian wine (anybody to send a bottle here in Scotland? )

Moldova is a wonderful county, but you'd better visit it in summer. Those who doubt it are invited to spend some time in Moldova)

Hi guys (wave)
A guy from Philippines asked about Moldavian flag. So here is it Bevs

National flag is a of blue (hoist side), yellow, and red; it represents its past, present and future, its democratic pronciples, tradition, friendship and solidarity of all citizens of Moldova.
It also features the Moldavian coat of arms (eagle holdinga a cross in its beak and a sceptre and an olive branch in its claws and a shield with image of an aurochs).

So...auroch is national symbol as according to a legend Ruler Dragos formed Moldova on a place where his loved dog called Molda hunted auroch and died.
On coat of arms you can see five pettaled rose, moon and star with 8 rays. According to historians the olive branch is a symbol of peace, cross is symbol of Christianity, sceptre - sovereignty.
