You have very interesting opinions Matz, which is the most truly beautiful place you've ever been to in this world?

I'm an architect myself. To me buildings are not just beautiful monuments and statues but something that create a nice environment for the people in them and on the streets between them. They also reflect the local culture. Modern global-style skyskrapers don't. I love old European cities. There are many beautiful but Valletta (Malta), Prague (Czech rep.) and Tallinn (Estonia) are maybe the most beautiful.

By the way: the Kenya railways was sold of to private company a while back(Rift Valley Railways) and services and the state of the trains has so far been greatly upgraded since then.(thought you'd be interested to know)

Thanks for the information. I hope the privatisation turns out to be better for the Kenyan railways as it so far has been for the Zambian and the Senegalese and Maliese railways.

We all hope so too though there was a setback during the election violence when in some slum areas where the railway line passes, people uprooted the lines and tried to vandalise the trains though were stopped by police in good time. The private railway company has since recovered and we hope for the best.
Thanx Matz

The country is getting back. But bear in mind that the violence was only in some areas of the country and that was in January-February.
Alternatively you can switch on your biased CNN, Sky news, BBC (your pick)...if there is no news about Kenya, then it can only mean good news.
Its always safe to contact your embassy and check travel warnings before going to anywhere.
