Our pristine location on the Central West Coast of British Columbia, Canada is surrounded by protected channels and inlets and offers the ultimate in calm waters and unforgettable BC scenery. Visitors can arrive by air from Vancouver, or by sea, to our resort on Denny Island along the inside passage to Alaska. Once here, our facilities and services will ensure you can soak up all the coastal scenery and activities you desire, with all the modern conveniences available to meet all your needs.

We provide inclusive saltwater sport fishing packages including round trip airfare from Vancouver to the resort, semi guided fishing, comfortable on-shore accommodations, gourmet meals, non-alcoholic beverages, bait, fuel, tackle, filleting and vacuum packing of your catch. Fishing is spectacular with trophy Chinook or King salmon topping 70 lbs., Coho or Silver salmon to 25 lbs., and Halibut to 200 lbs. Abundant bottom fish are also available including lingcod, Red Snapper and Rockfish.

Things are never boring. We have vacations for everyone, from the avid fisher, to the photography buff, to those who want to escape into the breathtaking wilderness scenery. Property amenities:
Whether you arrive at our location on the Central Coast of British Columbia, aboard the BC Ferries' route through the Discovery Passage or find your way on your own boat, Shearwater Marine Center has the facilities to meet your needs. From the practical to the relaxing, our friendly staff will help you feel at home or help you on your way to the next destination. Our facilities for day users are extensive, from our new restaurant to our marina and boating services or planned activities. And if you are overcome with the temptation to stay a little longer, we offer hotel accommodations as well.

SHEARWATER MARINE CENTER INCLUDES:

FISHERMEN'S BAR & GRILL- One of our most recent additions, the Fishermen's Bar & Grill, is a 9,000-square-foot complex including a fully licensed restaurant, pub and private lounge.

BOATING SERVICES- All boaters are welcome to moor at the 1,500 feet of concrete floats complete with power (15, 30 & 50 amp) and water. The floats are designed for vehicle access and are secured by an advanced engineered anchoring system.

FUEL STATION- Our newest addition, is a very own state of the art fuel station. Complete with Regular Gas, Diesel Fuel, Avgas, Jet B Fuel, lubricants, bait, ice and water filtration system.

ACCOMMODATIONS & CAMPING- we offer both hotel accommodations and camping. There is limited availability in our 42 room hotel and so we do recommend advance reservations if possible. Both single and double rooms are available for $65 Cdn to $120 Cdn per night. Kitchenette units are also available for $150 Cdn per night. Special winter rates are available.

MARINE, GROCERY STORE AND SERVICES- In addition to meeting your lodging & basic needs, the Shearwater Center is a hardware and marine store with a complete range of boating supplies, tackle, bait, fishing licences & supplies, ice and fish boxes. There is also electronic sales and service, a grocery store, a post office, gift shop, propane, Dive Tank compressor, Sears outlet store, Honda Marine Engine Showroom, and Stihl chainsaws.

BARGE SERVICES- The Arctic Kapvik is a 120' x 32' self propelled ramp barge.

Nearby attractions and activities:
Here at Shearwater life goes at a slow relaxing pace. But it doesn't mean things are boring. There are always lots of things to do and plenty of ways to keep active. Fishing, of course, is a main activity and we can help you out with boat rentals, tackle rentals and guided tours. But fish aren't the only game in town. If you are looking for planned activities, we have a variety of day trips available to suit every taste. Or you can head off on your own to explore the Shearwater environment. Hiking, biking, kayaking, photography or just soaking up the scenery are all possible within close vicinity of Shearwater. There is even a sunken vessel in the Shearwater harbor for the avid scuba diver. And at the end of the day, you will know the Shearwater active life is truly the good life.
