Our fishing lodge is perhaps, one of the last true remote fly in fishing destinations in Saskatchewan today. Located some 750 air miles northwest of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Misaw Lake, the surrounding waters and its wilderness have been deemed so special that the Saskatchewan Environment designated it one of only two Wilderness Areas in the province. This designation will assure protection of its unspoiled beauty and resources for years to come through a ban on commercial logging, commercial fishing, development or any change to the natural state whatsoever. After 7 years of great fishing we still remain very excited about sharing our world class Trophy pike fishing and unparalleled northern hospitality with you.
Due to our remote location, limited capacity resulting in low fishing pressure, exclusive rights to 15 lakes of Trophy fishing water the provincial mandated catch and release policy we feel we have the most exciting Trophy pike fishing in all of Saskatchewan and possibly Canada. Unlike many large lodges in our area we limit capacity to 16 guests per trip so that we may give you the personal service you expect while not overcrowding the fishing spots. My staff and I invite you to join us at Misaw Lake, which is considered by today’s serious fishermen to have some of the best Trophy fishing anywhere, to enjoy an atmosphere of camaraderie and service to please. At last, your search has ended for a true wilderness fishing experience.
Accommodating only 16 guests, you can be assured of service with a smile while you enjoy our clean modern facilities. From the time you arrive, our "can do attitude" will prevail throughout your stay. The cabins can accommodate 2 to 4 guests each, have bathrooms and are attended to daily. Each morning is started with the best mug of hot coffee delivered to your door step and at seven o’clock; a hearty breakfast will set the pace for the day.
At high noon you’ll meet at our designated shore lunch site and as you savor the aroma of open fire cooking, you’ll witness first hand, the preparation of a meal fit for the most zealous of appetites. Pike Alfredo, fresh Pike or Trout dusted with shore lunch seasoning, homemade bread, fresh cut french fries and mouth watering chocolate chip cookies are only a few of the favorites prepared at Misaw Lake Shore Lunches.
After a full afternoon of fishing our 7:00 PM evening meal is just the ticket! Enjoying a full four course meal, complete with homemade desert doesn’t get any better as you chat and boast about the day’s catch! Following dinner you set the evening course: whether it’s cold drinks along with laughter and bidding wars for the hot lure of the day, keeping abreast of world affairs or an action movies via satellite TV or evening fishing, the time is yours. Also, some just prefer retiring to their cabin for a refreshing hot shower and fulfilling the fishermen’s code: early to bed, early to rise! Regardless, at Misaw Lake we promise, "Great service, great food and great fishing company"!
Nearby attractions and activities:
Each morning at eight o’clock your experienced guide will motor you about our waters with one objective, to catch fish! As you travel across our waters you enjoy the comfort and safety of the Alumarine Pro Guide Boat, powered by a quiet 40hp, 4 stroke Yamaha motor. Each craft is equipped with approved life jackets, Loki catch and release nets and pike cradles. Your day will be highlighted by a fresh fish shore lunch prepared by your guide and for the afternoon you will again be on a hunt for huge Pike. Both Misaw Lake and the Schwandt River and our fly out lakes are only available to our 16 guests for their exclusive use. Unlike a lot of lodges, there are no expensive fly outs or long boat rides to reach trophy waters. Our aggressive fish management program, small guest capacity and moderate fishing pressure sums up to this: great angling and the opportunity to catch trophies will be guaranteed for years to come.
