An oasis in a modern world, M13760, is a magnificent historical residence, nestled in an unspoilt coastal area of Southern Italy. The Palace, which borders the characteristic little fishing village of Santa Maria di Castellabate, is located south of the Amalfi Coast, in one of the most idyllic places in the Mediterranean. M13760 is an ideal heaven for all ages, singles, honeymooners, amateur painters or those who want to lie on a beach or go on cultural expeditions.
The splendid five acres of park and gardens offer a setting which is both private and tranquil, among orange and lemon trees, flowering hibiscus, oleander and rose, with jasmine, plumbago and a profusion of bougainvilleas cascading from the ancient walls. Owing to the magical timeless quality of the Palazzo, guests can relax and enjoy absolute comfort, where all their cares and worries from the outside world slip away while they delight in the informal and peaceful atmosphere of this historic family home.
The twenty spacious suites/ apartments are located in three wings of the Palazzo and the charming Edoardo’s House adjoining the main Palazzo. Each apartment is uniche and named after a scented flower or herb found in the surrounding gardens.
Many have vaulted ceilings, while some have private terraces. The suites/apartments are comfortable, each with a sitting room and with its own distinctive design and furnishings. Some have full or partial views of the sea, while others overlook the 5 acre garden or flower filled courtyard.
Nearby attractions and activities:
M13760 is a superb choice as a base for exploration. From Castellabate you can enjoy numerous half and full day trips - the magnificent Doric Temples of Paestum are just 30 minutes away, and the archaeological sites of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Oplontis are within easy reach by car. (The Palazzo can arrange a chauffeur if required.)
The legendary Amalfi Coast, with towns such as Vietri sul Mare, famous for its ceramics, Ravello with its beautiful Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, and the delightful Positano provide an enjoyable day trip, as does the magnificent 14th Century Charter House of Padula (monastery) which lies inland. The island of Capri, as well as Positano and Amalfi, can be reached by hydrofoil, private boat or helicopter.
A visit to Naples should not be missed, with its rich history, many churches, monuments, museums and the renowned Capodimonte Royal Palace and Museum. Closer to the Palazzo, the medieval hilltop village of Castellabate is a delight to explore.
Helicopter trips can be arranged to enjoy the most spectacular views of the Coast and places of interest further afield.
