This trip is the same as our One Day Adventure but differs in that you get to stay at the Waitutu Lodge for as long as you like. The Lodge has backpackers style accommodation and is $20pp per night. The Lodge is situated on the west bank of the Wairaurahiri River on an ancient marine terrace, covered in dense virgin podocarp forest, five minutes walk from our wild south coastline. A good base for fishing, tramping hunting, exploring or relaxation. You can also trek into see the Percyburn Viaduct from here, this viaduct is the largest wooden viaduct in the southern hemisphere. You will have to supply your own food and sleeping bag and clothes the Lodge has all cutlery and cooking utensils gas, hot and cold water, hot showers flush toilets, pillows and is maintained by a resident warden.
