Privacy and solitude does not mean that you will be roughing it at Tesla Lake Lodge. Our new lodge, constructed during the summer of 2006, is a quantum leap forward in the remote fly-in only level of accommodation. Built of local profiled logs, it is situated on the shore of a large protected bay adjacent to Wahla Creek. Sit on the huge front deck in the evenings and watch the loons swimming by just a few feet away. Enjoy the antics of a family of ducks nested at the mouth of the creek or simply relax and listen to the sounds of the wilderness.

Privacy, solitude, world class B.C. fishing, wildlife and spectacular scenery are all yours at Tesla Lake Lodge. The trophy fishermen will delight in the opportunity to try their luck and skill in pursuit of the rare piscivorous rainbows that can be found in Tesla Lake, Wahla Lake and Crystal Lake. These aggressive omnivores, perched squarely at the top of the food chain, can weigh up to 20 pounds.

This cabin has it all...Solar power with a back up generator provides electricity. Full plumbing with hot and cold running water, toilet and shower, a propane kitchen stove with an oven and a propane fridge provide all the necessities. A wood stove with a never ending supply of firewood provides heat and atmosphere should the evenings or mornings turn chilly (You are in high mountain country after all).

There are two private bedrooms, one with a double and a twin bed and the other with two twin beds. In addition, a large airy loft holding two more twin beds and a sitting area allows for nighttime privacy and spacious comfort. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary cooking and dining utensils, lots of counter space and a large sink or if you prefer to cook outdoors we also supply a propane BBQ. The dining area and a roomy living area overlook the lake and mountains through two large windows. An satellite phone is supplied for daily communication.

Located in the heart of the Eutsuk Nature Conservancy Area of Tweedsmuir Provincial Park, Tesla Lake lies nestled at 3100 feet above sea level in the rugged Pattullo Range of B.C.’s spectacular Coast Mountains. Accessible by float plane only, this is truly untouched wilderness and one of the few remaining places where you can find privacy and solitude in its purest form. There are no roads, no connecting waterways, no trails and no other accommodation on the lake.

Note: We book only one group at a time to ensure that you are alone and free to experience the magnificent splendor that surrounds you at your own pace. With four lakes and a river to choose from, each day will be filled with its own rewards.

Our new log cabin will serve as your remote base from which to explore, hike, and fish. Hard fighting native rainbow trout up to 20 Ibs. will tug at your line. Fly fishing, spinning gear, trolling with lures, all work well.
