We feel strongly, that this river offers the best in fishing - year round! We have a hydroelectric flow control system, making our river fishable throughout the winter months.
Chinook and Coho Salmon run the river beginning in August and continuing thru October, with the best fishing in September and October. The Chinook Salmon can weigh up to 45 lbs and the Cohos up to 20 lbs. After fighting these strong fish, you will know that you've done a days work, and have some great memories to take home.
Steelhead trout come into the river around mid-October and remain there thru the winter and into May. The steelhead average 8 to 12 pounds (with an occasional brute up to 20 lb) and give the sportsman an excellent challenge! Also in October, Brown Trout move into the river. Not as numerous as the Salmon and Steelhead, but trophy Browns (average is 8 to 15 lb) will remain in the river until late November or early December.
Spring fishing brings back the Browns, March thru June are excellent for Brown Trout (limited catches). We also see Cohos, Rainbow and Lake trout during this season, and on occasion Chinook Salmon.
