Together with BIUS (Biology Students Association) we work on projects for preservation and salvation of Adriatic Sea and nature. For this purpose we have one special dive where we take our divers on a small island where underwater habitats have been explored and marked as underwater botanical garden. This is a specially nice place with huge rocks and small caves where you can find all kinds of sea life on depth just down to 20m.
Tour Details: - Maximum depth on this dive is 20 m - Difficulty: Easy dive - Visibility: From 25 to 40 m - No special permits needed - Type of diving: Eco dive - Recommendation: This is definitely the dive with biggest variety of all kinds of spaces especially during the night dive. Eco dive is a shallow dive around the island Kalebinjak in front of village Rogoznica. Dive starts usually on west side of the island and goes counter clockwise around the island. East side of the island is the most interesting. There are huge constellations of funny looking rocks between which you can glide carried by the current. Under each rock you will see something move. Different schools of small fish are everywhere. As you round the island you will be back under the dive boat. This is the dive which is a product of cooperation between Marine biology faculty and Diving Center Pongo. We mead a project of making something like underwater botanical garden to influence divers in learning more about ecology and diving spaces. During the dive you will be able to see different boards with descriptions about some spaces. Definitely the dive you should not miss. Just go slowly and enjoy yourself. Notes:
